. We would firstly like to introduce ourselves. We are Simon and Philippa Coventry and we will be your hosts for your stay with us. As guests you will be enjoying a 5 day holiday with us on a full board basis, enjoying Alpine walking at its best with magnificent views of the Aravis and the Mont Blanc mountain range. Simon will be leading the walks which will take in sensational flowers, birds, wild animals and intriguing geology and Philippa will be responsible for your food and accomodation.

The chalets are located in the small and venerable farming community of Le Chinaillon. Whilst this is now a skiing resort, Chalets Marion and Dupree are located in the old village, about 300 metres from the minute 17th century church, which is surrounded by ancient farms.
                             
Le Chinaillon lies in the upper valley of the river Borne, about 3 miles above Le Grand Bornand, and on the Col de Colombiere, which is well known to cyclists everywhere. The upper valleys of the Borne are incredibly rich in Flora and Fauna and so Le Chinaillon is a natural centre for the exploration of all branches of natural history.

The village is near to the Market towns of Le Grand Bornand, La Clusaz and Thones; all of which have weekly markets. We spend a couple of hours in the Grand Bornand  market before our walk in the Alps. We are also located at the heart of the French cheese making industry, and you will have the opportunity to purchase the delicious Tomme and Reblochon cheeses from the farms where they are made.
